The University Grant Commission (UGC) uploaded a public notice yesterday on its website regarding information about the scheme “Yuva Pratibha– Singing and Painting Talent Hunt”. The notice requests all Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to encourage the student to participate in the program. The First winner will be awarded Rs. 1 lakh in Painting and Rs 1.5 Lakh in Singing with a trophy and Certificate by MyGov.
The UGC has requested HEIs to encourage students to participate in the competition “Yuva Pratibha – Singing and Painting Talent Hunt.” The initiative has been launched by MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture to promote India’s diverse cultural heritage.

The portal https://www.mygov.in/yuva-pratibha/ accepts that India is a diverse culture that is seen in the music genres individually in each geographical and cultural region.
The competition going to be conducted consists of three categories of Music – Contemporary Songs, Folk Songs, and Patriotic Songs. Interested candidates can submit a recorded singing video of not more than 2 minutes via an accessible Youtube link, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. Lyrics also have to be submitted in pdf mode.
For the Painting Category Competition, wishing participants need to submit their paintings in size 2ft by 1.5ft in JPG/JPEG/PNG/PDF format. The painting should be on only themes mentioned by MyGov – Heritage & Culture, Valour &Patriotism, Nature &Environment, and Public Heroes & Leaders only. Photographs to be submitted should be shot in HD Quality. This category consists of three rounds.
In the first round, 200 participants will be selected out of the total registered on the MyGov platform. In the second Round. This same process will be practised for Painting Participants in the first round.
In the Second Round, a Jury of experts will select the best 50 singing talents out of 200 for the audition Round. Only Top 20 Painters will be taken from the first round for the Grand Finale.
In the third round Top 50 Selected Young Talents will be invited to Delhi in the first week of August 2023. No third for the Painting Category.
The Fourth Round will be held to choose the best 15 Singing Talents for the Grand Finale Round. There is also No fourth Round for Painting Participants.
