The Education department of Nepal has decided to stop all of the institutions in the nation from Tuesday to January 29 because of the rise in COVID-19.
The ministry said it made its decision based on the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMCC).
CCMCC has said that the educational institutes should stay closed, and the ministry said it would send out an alert to that effect.
COVID-19 cases have been rising, and a conference of the CCMCC on Sunday suggested that schools be closed until January 29 because of this.
The Nepalese government decided because there had been an increase in coronavirus infections.
