The Education, Skill & Development and Entrepreneurship Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday 15th July 2023, launched a free Training Course on Artificial Intelligence(AI). The program was launched on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day. The course is accredited with NCVET and IIT Madras and will be taught by GUVI, an online Edutech Company incubated with IIT Madras and IIT Ahmedabad.
The Education Minister of India Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on the occasion of World’s Youth Skill Day on 15th July 2023, launched a joint initiative of Skill India and Grab Your Vernacular Imprint (GUVI). The GUVI is an Edu Tech Company that runs education/courses online in vernacular languages. It is incubated with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Ahmedabad.
Now the GUVI in collaboration with IIT Madras and Skill India Development Ministry, has been authorized to offer a free Training Course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in 9 Indian Languages. The launched Training course has been accredited by the National Council of Vocational & Educational Training (NCVET).
While launching the program Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, The Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said – “Technology should not be a prisoner of Languages. This initiation is a good beginning towards dismantling language barriers in technology”.
Why the need for Training courses on Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial Intelligence is a new revolution in the Technology world and it affects every aspect, sector, thought, and speed of human life. Artificial Intelligence spreads its hands in all categories of Jobs Sectors whether it is Medical, Education, Technology, Arts & Crafts, Digital, Manual, or Spiritual also. There will be nothing left to reach out of AI influence.
That’s why it has been also assumed that the arrival of AI may prove disastrous and revolutionary as well. Data from the World Economic Forum reports that “AI will replace 85 million jobs across the globe by 2025”. This fierce data is shocking for every technological worker and organization.
And when the Education Minister says – “This is a good beginning towards future-proofing our Yuva Shakti” then what does it mean?
Training course equips the youth with skills on how to use and operate AI. The AI will create several new job categories which require particular skills in operating AI. All the existing Jobs Categories comprising employment in all companies will be either replaced or scrapped after accepting the AI tools. That’s why the new training and skills on AI is a must for all professional, rural youths, Students, Home Families, etc.
