SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) retains 21st rank in the category of management institutes among other top 50 management institutes, as the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) was released by the Ministry of Education on 6 June 2023.
A few months back NMIMS was barred by University Grants Commission (UGC) from providing educational services such as distance learning and online programs due to its violation of UGC norms. According to UGC, they were unable to clear the center for internal quality assurance (CIQA), quality of self-learning material, and e-learning material (e-LM), which are crucial for Distance and Online Learning.
In NIRF 2023 they secured 88 rank in the overall category, 47 in the top 100 universities. The previous year NMIMS ranked 25 in the category of management institutes across the country.
Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Vice Chancellor of NMIMS University, stated, “The recent NIRF ranking, where NMIMS appears in the top 50 institutes in the country, highlights the exceptional performance of the University. Our relentless pursuit of academic excellence, industry collaborations, and holistic student development has contributed to our improved overall ranking.”
