PG Medical Seats will be filled 50% by MCC in Central and 50% by the state government, Colleges may reduce the seats.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) uploaded a public notice informing that PG NEET 2023 counselling will start soon. The Post Graduate Medical Board (PGMB) is preparing to allot PG Medical Seats Matrix for the colleges for 2023 admission session. A notice signed by the President of PGMB allows Medical Colleges to reduce the seats in difficult situations.
The counseling process for admission in Medical PG MD/MS/Diploma courses will start soon after the Seat Matrix Preparation by the Post Graduate Medical Board (PGMB)for the colleges permitted for admission. A public notice under the National Medical Commission uploaded by PGMB on 19th June informed this. The National Medical Commission informs that PGMB had received 2828 Medical Colleges/Institutions for their approval/consideration/recognition/Renewal out of which only 1870 colleges have been permitted for admission in PG Medical Courses through NEET PG 2023 Counseling. The remaining are under process.
The notice signed by the National President of PGMB Dr. Vijay informs that PG Medical seats will be filled on NEET PG Scorecard and the seats will be distributed among states and Central government colleges in a ratio of 50-50%. He further states “Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling for 50% PG seats for All India Quota. Candidates, who qualified in NEET PG 2023 will have to apply for 50% state quota seats in their respective states separately.
