According to a statement made by an official on Sunday, the government of Madhya Pradesh has decided to fulfil Manipur’s request to allow students from the northeastern state to submit papers for college admissions offline rather than online. This is due to the fact that internet access is now unavailable in certain parts of the state that have been affected by violence.
According to him, the MP Higher Education Department issued a circular on Saturday asking all private and government colleges to accept admission applications in an offline manner from Manipuri students. This request was made in the form of a circular.
“The application process for all colleges in the MP system is completed online. Every year, students from Manipur take admission in MP institutions, but this time around they were facing difficulties because of the lack of internet connection after violence erupted there in the first week of May,” he said. “This time around, they were facing trouble for the lack of an internet connection after violence erupted there in the first week of May.”
According to him, among these pupils are local athletes who, after enrolling in sports academies in the state of MP, go on to undertake educational programmes alongside their athletic endeavours.
Since May 3, violence has broken out between members of the Metei and Kuki communities in the state of Manipur. There have been over one hundred fatalities thus far.
