The UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced two medical colleges for Mau and Shamli districts yesterday from his residence in Lucknow during an event of “Nirmaya Mission”. CM released the mentor-mentee rating certificates for all Nursing and Paramedical Institutions in UP. Under a reforming process “mentor-mentee” policy, eight new institutions were awarded as Mentors.
The two colleges to be set up in Mau and Shamli districts will be invested by two private investors of 250 crores for each college. The Rajiv Samajik Shiksha Sewa Sansthan for Mau and Gyan Chetna Educational Society of Medical College for Shamli signed agreements with the state government yesterday.
The signed ‘memorandum of understanding’ (MoU) between the UP govt and Private Players in the presence of CM Yogi Adityanath, is based on the Private Public Model (PPP).
The meeting was conducted on the occasion of an event “Nirmaya Mission”, on which the honourable Chief Minister also released quality ratings for UP medical colleges given by the Quality Council of India (QCI) under the Central government mission. Apart from this Eight medical and paramedical institutions were awarded as “Mentors” under a policy “Mentor-Mentee” which was adopted to reform the quality of nursing and paramedical colleges.
At the event, Mr Yogi Adityanath alleged the previous governments and said “Previous governments have ignored the paramedical and nursing colleges”. But our government is encouraging medical field study and 12 institutions have been identified as ‘Mentors’ and today eight new ones are also promoted as Mentor Institutions under the policy. This shows the BJP’s efforts in the reform of Medical Change.
Further, the Chief Minister termed “Mau as Mafia” and “ Shamli for Migration of People” for earlier governments six years ago. “But now these districts are going to be a Medical hub for eastern and western UP” – he hoped.
