Manipur NEET Exam 2023 is Postponed : Union MoS for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh submitted a letter to reschedule the NEET (UG) 2023 exams due to the Manipur crisis.
The medical entrance test NEET UG has been postponed due to Manipur violent riots and law-and-order crisis. The NTA will announce new dates soon. Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Manipur’s Education Minister and BJP MP, requested a postponement. In the current situation, I asked them to postpone the exam. The exam will be rescheduled. Ranjan informed ANI that 5751 aspirants were expected at the two Manipur centres.
“Please refer to the D.O. Letter dated May 6, 2023, from Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, MOS, External Affairs and Education, Government of India, regarding rescheduling the NEET (UG)-2023 Examination,” the NTA stated.
“In this regard, this is to tell you that the NEET (UG)-2023 Exam for applicants given examination centres in Manipur has been postponed and will be held at a later date. “Automatic calls and emails notify candidates,” it added.
Singh stated that he had requested to postpone the exams due to the situation in Manipur.
In the current situation, I asked NEET to postpone the exam. The exam date will be set. At the two Manipur center’s, 8751 applicants were expected.
On Saturday, the National People’s Party-led Meghalaya government reviewed the student evacuation process. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma presided.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh is reviewing the issue in an all-party meeting. After inter-community confrontations in a few northeastern state districts against the inclusion of the dominant Meitei community in the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category, the conference followed violence.
