Importance of the Celebration of Independence:
On this occasion “We the People of India” are able to know Indian history and the process of how our “the golden Bird” was colonized by Imperialists – French, Portuguese, and long rulers Britishers. We also remember the Freedom Struggle of 1857 started by Mangal Pandey, Rani Laxmibai, Maulavi Liyaqat Ali, etc. under the Leadership of Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar.
The struggle resulted in the Independence of India from the whites who accepted the challenge to have a Constitution. Revolutions have been practiced in the world to cultivate Democracy and the Constitution. This also happened in India too. Dr. B.R Ambedkar drafted the world’s biggest Democratic Constitution which was accepted on 26th January 1949 and was implemented on 26th November 1951.
Independence Day is an occasion filled with excitement, energy, and patriotism and with this spirit citizens of India remember the history of freedom Struggle from 1857 to 1947. The schools, Colleges, and Universities celebrate it by organizing various types of cultural events, Distributing sweets among themselves. Children filled with excitement, having the tricolor in their hands, wearing tricolor-based clothes, and shouting slogans with patriotism for their country create an incredible environment across the country.
Always Remember:
On Independence Day 15th August, the Prime Minister of India unfurls the National Flag “Tiranga” at Lal Quila. This tradition was started by the first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and is followed by every Prime Minister. This Year Prime Minister Narendra Modi will respect the Tricolor and deliver his speech.
