The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 application process will be initiated by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore on 24 August 2023. Applicants can access the official exam website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. It has been notified that the examination will begin on 3 February 2023.
Students can access further information for GATE 2024 on the official website. The application form must be completed and submitted before 29 September 2023. The correction window will be made available for application between 7 November to 11 November.
GATE is a national-level competitive exam that assesses students’ knowledge in the field of Science and technology. It includes diverse Engineering subjects like Biomedical, Aerospace, Agriculture, Architecture, Biotechnology, etc. The score obtained by applicants helps in securing employment in government sectors with companies like Hindustan Petroleum, GAIL, Indian Oil, etc.
The exam is conducted in online mode and questions will appear in MCQ/MSQ/NAT format. The duration for GATE is 3 hours and ‘English’ will be the mode of language to conduct the examination. Registration fees for students belonging to the general category are INR 1800 and for the reserved category (SC/ST/PwD) is INR 900.
Note: The GATE 2024 scorecard will be considered valid for three years from the date of the result being disclosed. The exam will be held on 3,4,10 & 11 February 2023.
