The University of Delhi will release the second allocation list for UG Admission 2023 on 10 August. Students unable to obtain seats in the first round still have a ray of hope. Applicants can check the status of seats by visiting the official website at du.ac.in or admission.uod.ac.in.
This year in round one, five colleges observed the maximum admission- Hansraj, Dyal Singh, Gargi, Kirori Mal, and Ramjas. Till now, a total of 53% of female candidates secured seats this year. The total number of admission reached 61,598.
Students have to confirm allotted colleges from the second list by 13 August. The payment for corresponding courses must be made by 15 August. The University provided guidelines stating that “Inactivity/no action will be taken as non-acceptance of the allocated seat. It will be treated as a decline to the provisionally allocated seat and the candidate will no longer be able to participate in subsequent rounds of CSAS (UG)-2023.”
This year has seen maximum enrollment in the arts and commerce stream with courses like BA Hons, BCom Hons, BCom, Political Science, Economics, and English being in high demand among students.
Students have the option to ‘upgrade’ their finalized courses from the first allotment list. The option is only available for students who have completed the admission process and successfully made payment of fees. They have to choose courses in the second allotment list based on their preference and availability of seats.
Applicants satisfied with seat allotment can ‘freeze’ their choice. In such a case, the upgrade option will be unavailable as the seat will be finalized and the admission process will be closed.
