At DU, the process of registering for the undergraduate-UG admissions process for 2023-2024 has already begun. On the other hand, the university system forecasts that registration for the newly launched B.Tech programs will begin next week. Once registration is open, students will be able to submit their applications on the official website at admission.uod.ac.in.
The University of Delhi (DU) has announced that it would introduce three new B.Tech degrees beginning in the academic year 2023-2024. According to DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh, who made the news at a press conference, the Bachelor of Technology program would be expanding its offerings to include three new courses. That would be:
- B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
- B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
- B.Tech Electrical Engineering
According to the administrators at DU, there will be a total of 360 seats available for the B.Tech courses (120 seats for each subject). The scores that candidates achieved in the JEE Main 2023 exam were utilized to decide admission. The Faculty of Technology at the university will serve as the teaching staff for all three courses.
“The procedure should start the following week. Students will be given the opportunity to indicate their choices before being allocated seats. They would be given a few days to accept the seats offered to them”, said Haneet Gandhi, the dean of admissions, addressing reporters for PTI.
During the press conference that took place the week before last, DU made the announcement that one spot in each of the B.Tech courses would be a supernumerary seat reserved for the only female child.
The formal opening of registration for CSAS 2023 took place on June 14 of the same year at Delhi University. The candidates’ UG applications will be submitted based on the outcomes of their CUET UG exams. The beginning of the next session is now projected to take place on August 16, 2023.
