DU BTech Admission 2023: The University of Delhi’s (DU) Dean of Admission, Mr. Hanneet Gandhi, stated that they would launch a registration portal for BTech in the last week of June 2023. He further stated that the registration would be different from Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal; students have to opt for their preference during the registration process. Seats will be allotted based on the student’s preference and marks obtained.
DU BTech Specializations
Du will provide BTech Admission for three specializations, namely BTech in Computer and Engineering, BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and BTech in Electrical Engineering under the Faculty of Technology.
DU BTech Eligibility
Students can secure DU Admission for BTech based on marks obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main); other criteria include securing 60% marks in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Students should also have cleared English, and they must have passed the 12th examination from a recognized board.
There will be a total of 360 seats, 120 seats per course. One seat in each program will be reserved for a Single Girl Child (SGC) quota, and 5% (18) of the total seats will be reserved for extra-curricular activities and sports quota.
DU BTech Scholarship
DU will also provide a financial support scheme for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. Students having a family income of INR 4lacs or less will get a 90% scholarship at the time of admission, and students having a family income of INR 4lacs to 8lacs will receive a 50% scholarship. Students can also receive a reimbursement of up to INR 50,000 on laptop purchases.
According to National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, students have several exit points in this curriculum. Students will receive a certificate for completing one year of study in this course, a diploma on completing 2 years, an advanced diploma on completing 3 years, and a BTech degree on completing all four years.
