The UGC’s initiative preserves and exhibits India’s unique traditional knowledge systems and practises. Scholars, professionals, and citizens can share their expertise, research, and documentation on Indian traditions, including indigenous sciences, arts, languages, literature, medicine, and more, on the portal.
The portal’s database of the Indian Knowledge System will let scholars, students, policymakers, and enthusiasts explore India’s rich cultural heritage. It explores the country’s historic wisdom and its significance today.
Dr. Rahul Kumar welcomed the inauguration and stressed the need of maintaining and sharing India’s great knowledge history. He said the platform will help society value old knowledge systems.
The portal’s inauguration marks a milestone in India’s intellectual and cultural preservation efforts. It is aimed to increase appreciation for India’s indigenous knowledge systems and enable their modern exploration and use.
