The scholarship will be distributed from the Donation received under the scheme Pratidana, The students will be awarded 25,000 Rs aiming to encourage research quality.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will provide support of Rs 25000 to MBBS first-year students launching after scholarship for M.A. Hindi Students and BPL UG students. This expensive budget has been collected under the ambitious scheme “Pratidana” launched the last year. The scheme carries its “Philanthropy” tradition through the help of alumni.
Last year 2022, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) launched an ambitious scheme” Pratidana”, aiming to collect a donation of Rs 150 Crore Rupees from its 70,000 alumni. The donation under the scheme aims to make its own resources for students, enhance research facilities, and improve the teaching-learning ecosystem at BHU. Now the university is going to offer financial support of 25,000 Rs to MBBS. This scholarship is for economically weaker background students enrolled in MBBS first year. Recently the university has launched a scholarship for M.A Hindi and BPL students enrolled in Undergraduate courses.
The Pratidana Scheme received a sum donation of Rs 5 lakh from Dr. Ramesh Chandra Gupta, Former Head of Department Of Metallurgical Engineering at BHU ( IIT). The donation of Rs. 10 lacks by Prakash Pandey and Arun Pandey, a homage paid to their parents – Pt Ganga Ratan Pandey and Jagrani Pandey, an eminent writer, professor and revolutionary of BHU, will be distributed to meritorious students of M.A Hindi Department.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir K. Jain urged “Anyone can donate from INR 5 Lakh to INR 10 lakh in a step to carry forward the donation culture of BHU, which will be also a tribute to the Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya”. The scheme was launched on BHU’s 106th Foundation Anniversary, last Year.
