On July 10, the Assam education department sent an admission advisory to all state universities and institutions offering four-year undergraduate programs (FYUP). The advisory reiterated that only applicants who have registered and completed the application form submission through the Assam admission portal, assamadmission.samarth.ac.in, and selected at least one program will be eligible for Assam UG admission 2023.
If the selected individuals possess the necessary documentation, they will be granted admission. The advisory mentioned that admission may occur simultaneously for different programs, provided that the essential program user credentials have been shared with the respective colleges/universities.
The advisory clarified that there will be no waitlist for admission, and any remaining seats after the first round will be offered to candidates in the second round. Accordingly, the universities are instructed to upload the Assam UG admission 2023 2nd and 3rd merit lists on July 15 and 20, respectively. Following the third round, there will be a provision for “spot admission” to fill any remaining vacant seats.
The spot admission period is scheduled for July 23–24. It allows applicants who did not apply between June 14 and July 3, 2023, to reapply for one or up to ten programs. The spot admission application campaign, taking place between July 20 and 22, will only display programs or institutions with available seats.
The advisory also mentioned that a family income document is required for fee waiver entry.
