AICTE and Meta Collab: The All India Central Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Meta to achieve the crucial Knowledge for the ambitious “Metaverse Creators” program. With a huge investment of 23 Crore INR, the program will train 1 lakh students and 20 thousand faculties. Metaverse transforms the future world of rich people into 3D software agents interacting with reality.
AICTE has recorded several initiatives in transforming Technical Education towards the updated Technologies. Recently on 28 July 2023, at its Headquarters in New Delhi, AICTE launched an ambitious program “Creators of Metaverse” in collaboration with the Meta Spark Platform. The initiation has been taken keeping in mind the transforming world of human beings in the future. The visionary program seeks to gain crucial knowledge of Metaverse technology for 1 lakh students and 20 Thousand teachers.
Once the participants will be certified by Meta Spark, they will be trained by Mentors for an exam conducted by Meta Spark Creator and will be enhanced further dynamically. In the field of transforming the human world, India seeks to be the leader in empowering the youth’s future generation. Students and faculties will learn both modes of Metaverse Augmented reality(AR) and (Virtual reality (VR). AICTE Chairperson, Dr. TG Sitharam said “The Creators of Metaverse will prepare youth for the future jobs and partnership with Meta skill the Indian workforce for Metaverse Era.”
What is Metaverse Technology?
The term “Metaverse” has been invented by American Science Fiction Writer Neal Stephenson in his novel “Snow Crash”. The Metaverse projects a space for the future world of rich people escaping from reality into programmable Avatars interacting with a three-dimensional Virtual as a real-world Metaphorically.
